Packers Players Support Salvation Army Mission

Four Green Bay Packers players recently gathered at Lambeau Field Atrium, creating lasting memories for fans and supporting the Salvation Army’s mission. A.J. Dillon, Bo Melton, Quay Walker, and Evan Williams came together to sign memorabilia, bringing joy to fans while raising funds for a good cause during the holiday season.

Fans eagerly participated in the event by donating at least $50 to have their sports memorabilia signed by the Packers players, knowing that every dollar raised would go directly to the Salvation Army. The funds collected will assist local families in Green Bay and beyond, covering operational costs and ensuring a brighter holiday season for those in need.

Salvation Army Capt. Maj. Catherine Fitzgerald expressed her appreciation for the event’s impact, highlighting that nearly 8,000 children in the area will receive gifts this holiday season thanks to the generosity of the donations.

For Michelle Stevens and her two sons, attending the event was an opportunity they couldn’t miss. The family drove 45 minutes from Two Rivers to Green Bay after Michelle discovered the event on Facebook. Michelle, a single mother raising two young football players, emphasized the significance of meeting their NFL heroes in person and how inspiring it was for her sons to see firsthand the dedication and hard work required to achieve their dreams.

Players like A.J. Dillon viewed the event as a chance to connect with fans, express appreciation for their support throughout the season, and make a positive impact on the community. The event represented the Packers’ ongoing commitment to supporting the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, with players like Kenny Clark, Kingsley Enagbare, and Rasheed Walker also participating in similar events to support those in need during the holidays.

The autograph event was not just about collecting signatures for fans; it was an opportunity to create core memories that will be cherished for years to come. Michelle and her sons, Morgan and Mason, were deeply moved by the experience of meeting their favorite players and being inspired by their stories.

The players’ involvement in the event went beyond football, emphasizing the importance of giving back and being part of something bigger, especially during the holiday season. The funds raised from the event will enable the Salvation Army to provide essential resources such as food, shelter, and gifts for families in need, spreading joy and hope during this special time of year.

Fans who missed the autograph event will have two more opportunities to meet Packers players and support the Salvation Army on Dec. 9 and Dec. 16. By coming together, players, fans, and the Salvation Army continue to demonstrate that small acts of generosity can make a significant difference in brightening the holiday season for those who need it most.
